Collection of vintage 10-inch phonograph records housed in a period record album, including seven examples signed directly on the center labels by notable American bandleaders and musicians. Signatures include Stan Kenton, Elliott Lawrence, Charlie Spivak, Frankie Carle, Vaughn Monroe, Eddy Howard, and Henry Busse. The album additionally contains a number of unsigned period records.

The signatures are executed directly on the record labels and represent an appealing cross-section of the American big band era. Handwritten notations within the album identify the respective signers.

Fine condition overall. The record album displays light expected age and handling wear. The signed records remain well preserved with attractive presentation, and the collection includes several additional unsigned records.

Stan Kenton (1911-1979) was an American pianist, composer, and bandleader whose progressive jazz orchestra became one of the most influential ensembles of the swing era. Elliott Lawrence (1925-2021) led one of the most popular dance orchestras of the late 1940s and later enjoyed a distinguished career as a Broadway conductor. Charlie Spivak (1907-1982), known as the "Man Who Played the Sweetest Trumpet in the World," was among the leading bandleaders of the swing era. Frankie Carle (1903-2001) achieved widespread popularity as a pianist and orchestra leader with numerous chart-topping recordings. Vaughn Monroe (1911-1973) was a celebrated singer, trumpeter, and bandleader whose distinctive baritone voice made him one of the biggest recording stars of the 1940s. Eddy Howard (1914-1963) was a successful vocalist and orchestra leader known for his smooth romantic style, while Henry Busse (1894-1955) was a German-born trumpeter and bandleader whose orchestra enjoyed lasting popularity throughout the 1930s and 1940s.
