(Artillerie Zeugs Fabrik: The German abbreviation stands for Artilleriezeugsfabrik, which translates to the Vienna Artillery Arsenal in Austria). It is also stamped with a Boxed SA which was done by the Finns | Finnish Connection: Many of these Austro-Hungarian-captured Mosins later made their way to Finland through international sales or military surplus acquisition.
