A stop-motion skeleton puppet from Tim Burton and Mike Johnson's animated fantasy film Corpse Bride. The deceased denizens of the Land of the Dead appeared in various states of decomposition throughout the film.

Corpse Bride was Tim Burton's first stop-motion film as director, having previously produced both The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) and James and the Giant Peach (1996). The film was well-received by critics and nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 78th Academy Awards.

Based on Burton’s unique, recognisable drawing style, the Corpse Bride puppets were created by the special effects production company Mackinnon and Saunders, one of the world’s leading puppet-making companies, who previously collaborated with Burton on Mars Attacks!

Constructed around a poseable steel-and-aluminium armature, the puppet features intricately painted resin and silicone components. It is outfitted in a fabric jacket and trousers, with the jacket also lined with metal wire to keep its shape. The back of the skull shows small cracks and signs of repair. The puppet is accompanied by a custom-made display stand. Dimensions: 2" x 3.25" x 17" (5 cm x 8.5 cm x 43 cm)
