A hand-marked, bound final draft script from the production of Sylvester Stallone's Rocky IV. Upon its release, The Running Man reached the no. 1 spot at the box office, a rarity for thrillers premiering over the coveted Thanksgiving weekend. It was subsequently honored with three prestigious Saturn Award nominations, including one for Best Science Fiction Film and a win for Family Feud host Richard Dawson, and inspired a second adaptation of the original Stephen King story in 2025.
This 115-page, brass brad-bound script originates from a crew member. It features a cardstock cover labeled for "Taft Entertainment Motion Pictures/Keith Barish Productions" as well as "Running Man" handwritten on its spine in black ink. The first page features a memo from unit production manager (UPM) Gary D. Daigler dated "September 16, 1986" indicating that this is the "final draft" and instructing crew to use it as the basis for future scene numbers and breakdowns. The script shows evidence of minor bending and edge wear consistent with handling and age. Dimensions: 11" x 8.5" x 1" (28 cm x 21.75 cm x 2.5 cm)
Estimate: $1,500 - 3,000
