German SA Stickpin

The SA (Sturmabteilung) was the Nazi Party's original paramilitary organisation, founded in 1921 and used to intimidate political opponents, provide security at rallies, and support the party's rise to power through street violence and propaganda marches. Membership badges and insignia such as stickpins were commonly worn by SA members and party sympathisers to display allegiance. The SA's influence declined sharply after the 1934 "Night of the Long Knives," when its leadership was purged and the SS became the dominant paramilitary force within the regime.
