Tektites from Philippines, often called Philippinites, are black, naturally formed glass tektites, averaging about 710,000 to 788,000 years in age. Also known as Rizalites or Bicolites, they were created by a massive meteorite impact in the Gulf of Tonkin, which ejected molten rock into the atmosphere that rained down as solidified glass.
