Title: Vintage Sekonda 19 Jewels USSR Mechanical Watch | Raketa Watch Factory Case back Manual Wind Soviet
Description: Vintage Sekonda 19 Jewels mechanical wristwatch, made in the USSR and fitted with a caseback marked “RAKETA WATCH FACTORY USSR”. A nice collector’s detail, as Sekonda watches were produced for export using movements from respected Soviet factories, and this example carries the desirable Raketa factory back marking.
This is a manual-wind mechanical watch, likely housing a Raketa 19-jewel hand-wound movement — the classic Soviet “workhorse” type known for being simple, robust and reliable. The watch winds, sets and is currently running, although it has not been tested for timekeeping accuracy or power reserve, so it is sold as a working vintage watch with no accuracy guarantee.
The dial is signed Sekonda / 19 Jewels, with Made in USSR at the bottom. The case is gold tone with a stainless steel back and comes on a vintage expandable metal bracelet.
Approximate size: 35mm including crown.
Condition
Good vintage condition with visible age-related wear. The acrylic crystal has scratches/crazing and marks, and the dial shows patina, spotting and age marks. The gold-tone case has scratches, wear and some plating loss, especially around the edges/lugs. Bracelet shows wear and age. Please study the photos carefully as they form part of the description.
