A small Korean Goryeo dynasty stoneware oil bottle of compressed spherical form, with a short neck and flanged mouth, decorated with delicate slip-inlaid motifs beneath a finely crackled gray-green celadon glaze. Raised circular foot with exposed stoneware body and areas of surface accretion. Small vessels of this type were traditionally used for cosmetic, perfumed, or fragrant oils. In our opinion, the piece is attributable to the Goryeo period, likely 12th–13th century, though the age attribution is based on stylistic and visual assessment rather than scientific testing.
