Condition Report:
The canvases do not appear to be lined and are slightly undulating. Stretcher marks are visible to both images and scattered protrusions in the surface. Significant craquelure and some cupping is present. Scattered flecks of paint loss. Inspection under UV reveals some small areas of possible retouching to the portrait of Charles Fox. Both works present a discoloured varnish, surface dirt and staining. They would benefit from a professional clean.
