Elizabeth Hickox (attributed) Wiyot/Karuk, (1875-1947), very finely and precisely woven, a series of serrated diagonals ascending the sides, with openwork rim finish. diameter 7 3/4in, height 4 1/4in Footnotes: The attribution to Elizabeth Hickox was made by John Kania, Santa Fe, in June 2002, with the suggestion that based on the more traditional approach to design and color that the present lot would fall into the era of her earlier work, circa 1905-1910.
