This is a decent, complete Civil War backpack probably surplus from Bannerman Island has complete leather straps and harness. Tarred canvas body is complete, dry with scattered reductions and tears, but still it is all there with the brass hardware that is so commonly found in excavated Civil War camps and battle sites.
