An Interesting 2013 US Operation "ISIS'" Captured Jordanian Inventoried Llama 9mm Semi Auto Pistol w/ Previous Auction paperwork in fair to good condition with bright and defined bore. The action appears to function properly with some wear to the original finish. The right-hand side grip panel has stripped screws but good screw holes which would be an easy fix. The documentation is an auction listing Stating that this Llama 9mm pistol is one of an approximately 200-piece group reportedly originating from a 2013 U.S. interdiction operation in Jordan involving an illicit shipment of firearms to ISIS. Following the seizure, the pistols were transferred to Jordanian military authorities, where they were inventoried and assigned Jordanian military rack and inventory numbers, many of which remain visibly marked on the receivers (This pistol is "AA3593"). The group was subsequently released from Jordanian custody and entered the U.S. commercial market through Williams Shooters Supply (WSS) of Quincy, Illinois. This individual pistol was later offered as part of a 2-pistol lot through Will Sullivan Auction Co., a firearms and military-assets auction house in Carthage, Illinois. Its surviving Jordanian military inventory markings, combined with the reported provenance of the larger group, provide an unusual connection to a period of U.S.-Jordanian counterterrorism and terrorist arms-interdiction activity during the global war on terror.
