William J. Brennan Jr. autographed typed letter signed (TLS) on Supreme Court of the United States letterhead, dated April 9, 1984. The 5.75 x 9" letter is addressed to Mike Roberts, thanking him for his note and stating, "I am happy to enclose the autographed card which you have requested." Signed in blue ink, "Wm J. Brennan Jr."

William J. Brennan Jr. (1906-1997) served as an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court from 1956 to 1990 following his appointment by President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Widely regarded as one of the most influential justices of the twentieth century, Brennan authored numerous landmark opinions involving civil rights, free speech, voting rights, and criminal procedure. His jurisprudence helped shape modern constitutional law over more than three decades on the Court.
