Inscribed, "To my Aunt Mayme, May God bless you from your little sweetheart," and signed "Max Baer (sugar) (plum)." Dated September 23, 1933, in the lower right margin.

Max Baer (1909-1959) captured the World Heavyweight Championship in 1934 with his victory over Primo Carnera and became one of boxing's most colorful and charismatic champions.
