Dale Spencer was a United States Army Air Forces fighter pilot and World War II flying ace. Flying with the 376th Fighter Squadron, 361st Fighter Group, he was credited with 9½ aerial victories while escorting Allied bombers and engaging Luftwaffe aircraft over Europe. His combat record placed him among the leading American fighter pilots of the European Theater during the war.
