Yukio Okutsu (1921–2003) was a United States Army soldier and Medal of Honor recipient who earned the nation's highest military decoration for extraordinary heroism during World War II. Serving with Company K, 442nd Regimental Combat Team, he single-handedly eliminated multiple German machine-gun positions while leading his platoon near Mount Belvedere, Italy, in April 1945. Originally awarded the Distinguished Service Cross, his decoration was upgraded to the Medal of Honor in 2000 following a review of Asian American service members' wartime records.
