Francis "Gabby" Gabreski signed folded 6 x 4-inch artist card depicting his famed Republic P-47 Thunderbolt engaging a German Messerschmitt Me 262 jet fighter. Signed prominently in blue ink beneath the aviation artwork.

Francis S. "Gabby" Gabreski (1919-2002) was America's top U.S. Army Air Forces fighter ace in the European Theater during World War II and later became one of only a handful of pilots to achieve ace status in both World War II and the Korean War. Credited with 28 aerial victories during World War II and 6½ more during Korea, he finished his career with 34½ confirmed aerial victories, making him one of the highest-scoring American fighter pilots in history. Flying the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt and later the North American F-86 Sabre, Gabreski became one of the most celebrated combat aviators of the twentieth century.
