General George S. Blanchard (1889–1964) was a senior United States Army officer who served during both World War I and World War II. He commanded the U.S. First Army from 1944 to 1945 during the final campaigns in the European Theater, overseeing American forces during the advance into Germany. Following the war, Blanchard continued in senior leadership positions before retiring from active military service.
