The cover has been trimmed from the magazine and signed in blue ink across the lower portion of the image.

Fine condition overall. The cover has been neatly trimmed from the original magazine with expected handling wear. Bold ink signature.

Abe Fortas (1910-1982) served as an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court from 1965 to 1969 after being appointed by President Lyndon B. Johnson. A close adviser to Johnson, Fortas was a leading voice on the Warren Court and participated in landmark decisions involving criminal procedure, civil liberties, and constitutional rights. His nomination to become Chief Justice in 1968 was unsuccessful, and he resigned from the Court the following year.
