Footnotes: Provenance Fonthill Hall Father Graeme (sometimes spelled Graham) was a Scottish Capuchin monk, also known as Pere Archange (Father Archangel) who famously acted as a spiritual advisor and confidential agent for Bonnie Prince Charlie (Prince Charles Edward Stuart). Father Graeme was known for his staunch loyalty to the Stuart cause and frequently moved between the Jacobite court in exile and various French religious houses. Father Graeme served as a discreet messenger and intermediary for the Prince, often handling sensitive correspondence that bypassed more official Jacobite channels. He was the grandson of Patrick 'Black Pate' Graeme and the second son of Col Patrick Graeme and Annas Smythe.
