Howard Terpning (American, b. 1927). "The Apache Fire Makers," color offset lithograph on paper. The composition portrays two Apache men starting a fire in a sun-drenched desert canyon. The piece is hand-signed in pencil at the lower left "Terpning" and numbered "29/1000." A printed signature and date "Terpning / 1985" is visible within the lower left portion of the image. The lower margin bears the printed text "(c) 1993 THE GREENWICH WORKSHOP, INC. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. THE APACHE FIRE MAKERS HOWARD TERPNING." Included is the original Greenwich Workshop documentation folder containing a Certificate of Authenticity, artist biography, and print registration form.
