[SLAVERY]: A manuscript document issued and signed by the four commissioned appraisers of the estate of Cornelia Crawford, deceased, of Wilcox County, Alabama, two pages, folio, Alabama, 8th December 1860. The document, as required by the Probate Court, provides a household inventory with individual values, including a clock ($2), bureau ($10), looking glass ($2.50), double barrel gun ($5), two cows ($20) etc., and also includes a list of thirteen individuals, evidently slaves, detailing their ages and values, including Charles (56 years; $400), his wife Nelly (44 years; $300), Francis (8 years; $500), Asia (18 years and observed to be a ?dwarf?; $800) and Louisa & James (26 and 2 1/2 years; $2000), the total amounting to $10,400.50.
