HIROHITO & KOJUN: Hirohito (1901-1989) Emperor Showa of Japan 1926-89, & Empress Kojun (1903-2000) born Princess Nagako, wife of Emperor Hirohito. Her posthumous name Kojun, means "Fragant Purity". She is the longest-serving Empress consort in Japanese history. Their son Akihito succeeded his father Hirohito as Emperor of Japan (1989-2019) until he abdicated due to his age and declining health. Rare signed 6 x 9 photograph, the unusual image showing the Emperors outdoors, standing, in a three quarter length pose.
