This maquette in the style of Dame Barbara Hepworth's famous Ball, plane and hole 1936; which is now in the 

Tate Modern. The third photograph shows the original.
This item is sized to a 50mm Ball and is illustrated in the photographs. It is in Spruce. The plinth measures 36 x 9 x 2.4cm and the maximum height is 14.5cm.
It is the work of David Boyd, who is a scientist specialising in scientific and geometric artworks.
