This collection consists of three pieces of jasperware from Wedgwood, featuring provenance from the Rubin Collection. The group includes two circular tobacco jar tampers and a cylindrical holder. The tampers are designed with cobalt blue dipped tops and white unglazed sides, each featuring a central knob decorated with a white bas-relief cameo bust of a classical figure. The smaller cylindrical vessel is finished in an olive green drab ground with dark blue bas-relief stylized foliate or pine tree motifs encircling the lower half. The top of the cylinder contains two apertures, indicating use as a pen holder or a component of a desk set. All three pieces bear circular silver labels from the Rubin Collection on their undersides. Additional labels include a yellow sticker on the larger tamper numbered 138456 over 38 and an auction label on the cylindrical holder dated April 25, 1994, for sale 7549, lot 81, along with a small label marked Jacobs N 100.
