Condition Notes: As indicated by the dimensions provided, these are an expansive pair of hoop earrings. The gold alloy has been darkened, likely through the application of a black rhodium finish. X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis and standard metal testing confirm the alloy as 18K gold.

Upon close inspection, several sapphires exhibit minor surface abrasions and shallow girdle chips within their settings, conditions consistent with the manufacturing process. One earring is stamped LR/18K, the maker's mark for Loree Rodkin.
