The plate features a scalloped rim with a gold edge and an alt-ozier basketweave relief border, decorated in the Apponyi Green pattern with a central floral bouquet and rim sprays. The underside features a blue printed mark reading HANDCOLOURED, HEREND HUNGARY, and 1940, alongside impressed marks reading HEREND and 518. The scalloped reticulated basket features a hand-woven lattice body, a green and gold border, and five applied porcelain flowers on the rim, with an interior well decorated in the Queen Victoria pattern. The underside bears a blue printed mark reading HEREND HUNGARY and HANDPAINTED, with handwritten codes 7385 / VBO and artist's initials. The round reticulated basket features a hand-woven lattice body and an interior well decorated in the Parsley Green pattern. The underside bears a blue printed mark reading HEREND HUNGARY and HANDPAINTED, with handwritten codes 7372 / PVE and other marks.
