Title: Vintage Lewis Chessmen Chess Set
Description: A particularly attractive larger-sized set with highly detailed figural pieces in contrasting deep reddish-brown and antique ivory/cream finishes.

The king, the largest piece, measures approximately 11.5 cm (4.5 inches) high, while the pawns measure approximately 4.5 cm (1.75 inches), with the remaining pieces ranging between these sizes.

The set comprises all 32 chess pieces and is in good pre-owned condition. I cannot see any significant damage and any signs of use appear minimal. Please study the detailed photographs, which form part of the condition description.

The bases are green felted, with the exception of one pawn which is missing its felt. I have included a photograph of the exposed base of this pawn.

These appear to be moulded resin/composite pieces. The design and size are consistent with commercially produced Lewis Chessmen reproduction sets, including examples associated with Berkeley Chess, although there is no visible maker's mark and I therefore cannot guarantee the manufacturer.

A substantial and very decorative chess set suitable for playing, display or a Lewis Chessmen/chess collection.
