Bob Ross completed this work live on air in 1993, on Episode 3 of his 28th The Joy of Painting television series. It took Bob about 3-4 days to film an entire series, after which time the paintings were returned to Bob Ross Company. This work has remained in secure storage since it was painted on TV in 1993. On the back of the painting Bob wrote '83' instead of '93' in error; the corresponding Volume 28 how-to book's copyright date confirms it's 1993.
