A Bow sauceboat and a mug, circa 1760-65 The first moulded with foliage and rococo panels, painted in blue with animated Chinese figures in oriental gardens populated with tall flowers, some placed in vases, a diaper and foliate border to the interior rim, floral sprigs to the interior and below the pouring lip, 18.3cm long, the mug of bell shape, the grooved strap handle with a heart-shaped lower terminal, printed in blue with 'The Red Ox' or 'Red Cow' pattern to one side, and part of 'The Herdsman and The Spinning Maiden' pattern to the other, 9.7cm high (2) Footnotes: Provenance R W Knox Collection A teapot decorated in the same pattern as the sauceboat in this lot, from the Lyn and Maurice Hillis Collection, was sold by Bonhams on 11 June 2025, lot 222.
