Only one such cup in this pattern appears to be extant and was exhibited by Robyn Robb in 2005, no.26. Branyan, French and Sandon discuss the pattern in Worcester Blue and White Porcelain (1989), I.B.33A where an identical saucer is illustrated. The present lot may be the second example referred to by the authors, which was sold by Phillips on 8 December 1982, lot 209.
