The scissors were sent for repair during the war, but never recovered after Hamburg was bombed. Numerous such etuis with scissors are listed in the 1765 inventory of Count Heinrich von Brühl's possessions after his death (U. Pietsch (ed.), Schwanenservice: Meissener Porzellan für Heinrich von Brühl, 2000, pp. 246f.).
