A good and rare mid 19th century skeleton clock timepiece with skeletonised dial, under a glass dome John Pace, Bury St Edmunds The skeletonised gilt chapter ring with outer dot minute markers enclosing the pierced Arabic numerals (the 4-8 numerals 'tumbling' over to be read upright), the time shown via blued steel spade hands on a signed faceted base mounted on a mahogany oval plinth on ball feet. The gut (now wire) fusee movement with circular backplate set on a pair of C-scroll supports, the frontplate shield-shaped and with canted edge, with half deadbeat escapement, signed to the base John Pace, Bury, protected by a glass dome.
