An Empire gilt bronze mantel clock Attributed to Claude Galle (French, 1759-1815) The arched rectangular case cast to the sides with formalised palmette leaves, the 4.5' enamel Roman dial with pierced blued steel moon hands signed Galle, rue Vivienne No. 9 set within an ouroboros serpent bezel, the front with applied lyre mount on a foliate cast moulded foot, the brass twin train movement with later Brocot type suspension and outside count-wheel striking on a bell, 34cm high For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
