A porcelain figure group of child musicians Gardner Porcelain Factory, Moscow, late 19th - early 20th century realistically modelled as two barefoot children seated and standing beside a rustic wooden bench, the standing child raising a small wind instrument to his lips, the seated child playing a small red-painted drum, both dressed in simple peasant clothing, the figures raised on a naturalistic rectangular base enamelled in tones of green and yellow to simulate grass and foliage, the bench and supports painted in imitation of wood, impressed number '58' height: 13 cm (5 1/8 in).
