A pure-silver ewer with a bail handle; the spout is modelled as a phoenix head, the arched handle set with a lotus-bud finial. The belly is engraved with ruyi-panel floral scrolls, finely worked, with an old patina. A metal tea vessel for boiling and holding water. H 12.5 cm, L 9 cm, W 7 cm, 299 g.
