Highly desirable Smith & Wesson Model 629-2 revolver chambered in .44 Magnum, serial number BBF3774. This substantial stainless N-frame features a 6-inch barrel with a bright bore and sharp rifling, a full-length underlug, unfluted cylinder, adjustable target rear sight, and blacked-out front sight. It is further equipped with a target hammer and target trigger, both finished in contrasting flash chrome. Timing and lockup are within specification, giving this revolver the solid mechanical feel expected from a well-maintained Smith & Wesson magnum. The combination of the unfluted cylinder, full underlug, and target components gives this example an especially handsome and purposeful appearance.

The Model 629 is the stainless-steel counterpart to Smith & Wessons iconic Model 29 and represents one of the companys best-known .44 Magnum revolvers. Built on the large N-frame, the 629 was designed to handle the powerful .44 Magnum cartridge while offering the corrosion resistance and distinctive appearance of stainless construction. Six-inch examples with full underlugs, target sights, and target-style controls are especially representative of the models sporting and precision-shooting heritage, while the unfluted cylinder gives this example additional visual distinction.
