Invader is an anonymous French artist known for installing ceramic mosaics based on pixelated video-game characters in cities worldwide. Beginning in Paris in the late 1990s, he expanded his visual vocabulary beyond Space Invaders to other eight-bit imagery. His practice also includes mosaics on portable supports, paintings, drawings, and screenprints, all linked by a recognizable pixel-based language.
