Shepard Fairey
American, b. 1970

Shepard Fairey works across street art, graphic design, painting, and printmaking. He first gained attention through a public sticker campaign and later became widely known for bold images combining portraiture, text, and political messaging. His practice draws on propaganda, advertising, and popular culture, using highly legible compositions to examine power, dissent, and the circulation of images.
