Details:
Richard Avedon autographed a 4.25 x 6" photographic postcard reproducing his portrait of poet Ezra Pound. Richard Avedon has boldly autographed the reverse in black ink and dated it "1981." Printed text on the verso identifies the image as "Ezra Pound, Poet, Rutherford, New Jersey 6-30-58, Photograph by Richard Avedon."
The postcard reproduces Avedon's stark 1958 portrait of Pound, characteristic of the photographer's direct, minimalist approach to portraiture.
Very good condition with light toning, scattered spotting, and minor handling wear.
