Dick Ayers (1924-2014) was an American comic book artist and inker whose career spanned the Golden and Silver Ages of comics. He is especially remembered for his extensive work for Marvel Comics, including Sgt. Fury and His Howling Commandos, and for collaborating with artists and writers including Jack Kirby and Stan Lee. Ayers was also closely associated with the original Western character Ghost Rider and became one of the most prolific inkers of his generation.
