Mary Blair (1911-1978) was an American artist, animator, and designer whose distinctive use of bold color and modernist forms made her one of the most influential artists associated with Walt Disney Studios. She contributed concept art and visual development to such celebrated Disney films as Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, and Peter Pan, and later designed the instantly recognizable visual style of the "It's a Small World" attraction. Her highly individual aesthetic continues to have a lasting influence on animation, illustration, and graphic design.
