Doug Chiang (1962-) is an American concept artist, production designer, and filmmaker whose visual work has played a major role in shaping the modern Star Wars universe. He joined Lucasfilm as design director for Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace and continued his work on Episode II - Attack of the Clones, helping develop the environments, vehicles, characters, and overall visual language of the prequel era. Chiang later returned to Lucasfilm and has served in senior creative roles on numerous Star Wars productions, including the sequel films and television projects such as The Mandalorian and Obi-Wan Kenobi. He is regarded as one of the franchise's most influential contemporary visual designers.
