Robby Krieger (1946-) is an American guitarist and songwriter best known as a founding member of The Doors alongside Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, and John Densmore. His distinctive guitar playing incorporated elements of rock, blues, jazz, flamenco, and classical music and became an essential part of the band's sound. Krieger wrote or co-wrote several of The Doors' best-known songs, including "Light My Fire," "Love Me Two Times," "Touch Me," and "Love Her Madly." The Doors became one of the defining rock bands of the late 1960s, and Krieger was inducted with the group into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993.
