Sandy Koufax (1935-) is a Hall of Fame pitcher who spent his entire Major League Baseball career with the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers from 1955 to 1966. One of the most dominant pitchers in baseball history, Koufax won three Cy Young Awards, the 1963 National League Most Valuable Player Award, and five consecutive ERA titles. He threw four no-hitters, including a perfect game in 1965, and helped lead the Dodgers to four World Series championships. Koufax retired at just 30 years old because of chronic arm problems and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972, becoming the youngest player elected at that time.
