Richard Nixon has written a lengthy presentation inscription on the front free endpaper: "To William S. Prisk with congratulations on his 92d birthday & with grateful appreciation for his friendship through the years from Dick Nixon April 2, 1962." Bound in gray cloth with blue and gilt title panel to the front cover.
Six Crises recounts six major episodes from Nixon's political career prior to the book's publication, including the Alger Hiss case, the 1952 campaign fund controversy and "Checkers" speech, President Eisenhower's 1955 illness, the 1958 Venezuela trip, the 1959 "Kitchen Debate" with Nikita Khrushchev, and the 1960 presidential campaign.
