Hiroshi H. Miyamura autographed First Day Cover commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, postmarked Washington, D.C., on March 11, 1974. The ArtCraft cacheted cover bears a block of four 10-cent VFW commemorative stamps and is signed prominently in black ink by Miyamura, who added the inscription "'CMH' Korea 1951."

Hiroshi H. Miyamura (1925-2022) was a United States Army soldier and Medal of Honor recipient for his actions during the Korean War. On April 24-25, 1951, while serving with Company H, 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, Miyamura defended his position against an enemy attack, provided covering fire for the withdrawal of his men, and continued fighting before being wounded and captured. Because he remained a prisoner of war, his Medal of Honor award was initially classified to protect him from possible retaliation. President Dwight D. Eisenhower presented Miyamura with the Medal of Honor in 1953 following his release.
