Bonhams Tasting Notes: Colour: light amber Nose: Vibrant from the outset, with an abundance of red and tropical fruit - ripe mango, raisins, fresh lime and citrus. Beneath the fruit, chalky and almost mineral notes begin to emerge, alongside a gentle sea breeze character and subtle peat. An energetic nose. Palate: Classic Springbank funk comes through immediately, with lively fruit esters layered over crisp apple and lemon. Notes of lemon tart bring a touch of sweetness and richness, balanced by a distinct salinity. The texture is beautifully oily and mouth-coating, giving the palate plenty of weight and depth. Very subtle peat also emerging. Finish: Creamy and lingering, with subtle peat smoke developing alongside persistent notes of lemon and lime. The citrus slowly fades but remains present for a considerable length of time. A beautifully balanced finish with all the character and complexity you would hope for from a Springbank.
