North British 2010 15 Year Old Bourbon Barrel (1x cask ) Notes: Distilled at North British Distillery in 2010. Cask #5961. Footnotes: North British 2010 15 Year Old Bourbon Barrel Founded in Edinburgh in 1885, the North British Distillery has been producing grain whisky for more than 140 years and remains one of Scotland's most important grain distilleries. Traditionally destined for blending, well-aged single grain whisky has increasingly attracted interest in its own right, particularly among independent bottlers and collectors. Distilled on 18 August 2010 and matured in a Bourbon Barrel, this cask is offered at 15 years old with a regauged strength of 60.9% ABV. The March 2026 regauge recorded 155.40 bulk litres, representing an estimated yield of approximately 220 x 70cl bottles. With an auction estimate of £2,000-£4,000, this equates to an underlying hammer estimate of approximately £9-£18 per potential 70cl bottle, before any future costs associated with storage, bottling, duty, VAT or transportation. The cask therefore offers its next owner considerable flexibility, whether retained for further maturation or bottled in the future.
