Footnotes: Macallan The Year of the Horse One8Nine 32 Year Old, 1993 Distilled on 27 September 1993 and matured for 32 years, this exceptionally limited single-cask Macallan was bottled by independent bottler One8Nine to commemorate the 2026 Chinese Year of the Horse. Drawn from cask No. 8660 and bottled at 43.7% ABV, the release was limited to just 60 bottles worldwide. The presentation features a distinctive prancing horse rendered in gold, reflecting the symbolism of the Year of the Horse. With its combination of significant age, single-cask provenance and an extremely small outturn, this represents an unusual independently bottled example of mature Macallan. Producer Tasting Notes: Colour: Honeyed Barley Nose: Vanilla and waxy fruits, layered honeycomb, lemon oil and toasted coconut, with faint notes of menthol and beeswax. Palate: Orchard fruits, pear tart and creme anglaise with toasted almond flakes. Leads into rich malt, citrus zest and resin. Subtly mineral, with a hint of white pepper. Finish: Long and balanced. Vanilla fudge, barley sugar and lingering citrus oils finish with more peppery spice.
